Meditations

WHY MEDITATE?

Meditation helps to focus attention on oneself. The ability to consciously attend is important to emotional regulation, self control, conflict management, interpersonal relationships and self awareness. Without knowing most of us are functioning on auto pilot. Going through the motions without choice of action, thoughts or result. This leads to reactive functioning instead of preventative functioning. Through meditation, you are practicing the skill of self attention - you will learn how to function with awareness and choice leading to less emotional outbursts and more understanding.

As with any skill the more you practice the better you will get. Try meditate once a day. Below are some meditations to get you started.
