More about Lerato
My academic journey in psychology started at Wits University where I obtained my BA degree in Psychology. Then honours at University of South Africa (UNISA) and I completed my masters at Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University (NMMU). I believe continuous professional and self-development is a crucial component in my own personal and professional journey.
I believe that each individual has an innate ability and resource to become their true and authentic self. I use a combination of different approaches of psychotherapy in my work, as I believe that a flexible integrative approach can address the needs of each client. My approach in therapy aims to empower individuals and couples overcome their challenges and enhance their overall wellbeing and relationships by focusing on affective, behavioral, cognitive, physical, social and spiritual aspects of an individual in their treatment.
My Clinical Experience Includes:
SANCA Eastern Gauteng
Independent Counselling and Advisory Services (ICAS)
South African Police Services: Employee Health and Wellness
LDM Psychological Services and Assessments
My diverse background has taught me how to develop meaningful therapeutic relationships, respect and empathy in all my interactions.
